Google+ has 90 million users: Larry Page
Google+, Google’s fledgling social network, now has 90 million users according to CEO Larry Page. Page disclosed the number in a press release issued for Google’s fourth quarter. “I am super excited about the growth of Android, Gmail, and Google+, which now has 90 million users globally – well over double what I announced just three months ago,” Page says.

LG to launch its Google TV at CES 2012
LG Electronics will showcase their new TVs powered by Google TV at CES in Las Vegas next week. Running on their own L9 chipset, the LG Smart TV is a brilliant mash up between Google’s Android OS and LG’s Smart TV technologies. The Google TV will feature ARM-based chipsets, allowing for a reduction in power consumption."Google TV is about bringing new entertainment and innovation from the Web to TV," Mountain View, California-based Google said on its blog. "Our team along with our partners are pleased to bring more Google TV powered products to more people, across more devices in more countries in 2012."

Google Activates 3.7 million devices over Christmas weekend
Google's Andy Rubin says that Android activations reached 3.7 million devices over Christmas, but a breakdown of numbers shows that Apple's Christmas activations may almost double Google's.
Not long ago, Google revealed that it is activating 700,000 Android devices per day. Well, Christmas has been kind to Android. Andy Rubin, head of Android, Tweeted that 3.7 million Android devices were activated on Dec. 24-25, meaning a lot of people got new phones for Christmas.

Google, yahoo and bing teaming up for better search results for users

The top 3 search engines Google, yahoo and bing are working togrther to have better search results for users. The new system will enable the websites to tag content in a way that allow search engines better categorize and prioritize the information in results. The top 3 search engine competitors launched an initiative called schema.org which is intended to promote a common format to "markup" web pages with data detailing for search engines exactly what information and content does the web site contain.
